We Love Moms Night | Protect the Cups

With the help of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and Citrone 33, the Pittsburgh Penguins raised money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and showed love for all the moms out there in March of 2016 during a dedicated Penguins home game.

The Penguins’ game against the Nashville Predators was declared “We Love Moms Night,” and the first 3,200 women in attendance received a unique Michael Kors canvas tote with “To my favorite hockey mom … you bring glamour to the game. MK,” inscribed on the inside. During the game, fans also had opportunities to donate to BCRF by participating in the Penguins Foundation 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and a text-to-give donation campaign.

Local youth hockey organizations were encouraged to nominate their well-deserving moms to receive free tickets to the game. A total of 25 young players got to bring their moms to the game, and the women received pink t-shirts that read “I Love Being a Hockey Mom,” hats that said “We Love Moms” and mystery-signed pucks for their kids to unveil.
