Our vision is to become a global leader in advancing youth mental health, with a strong focus on catalyzing action in Pittsburgh. We believe that by prioritizing mental wellness, we can create a healthier, happier, and more vibrant community for everyone. We aim to lead by example, bringing creative and innovative solutions to the forefront of mental health care, and by doing so, to inspire others to prioritize mental wellness as well.

Cindy Citrone

Cindy Citrone

FOUNDER AND CEO

Cindy Citrone is the Founder and CEO of Citrone 33, which works to improve the quality of life for all people by investing in pioneering efforts that advance health, build human capital, and promote smart giving. Citrone’s primary focus is on mental well-being and the Pittsburgh community. Citrone identifies leading partners, sets the strategic direction, and shapes the overall partnership’s goals to create meaningful influence and outcomes. Over the past 20 years, Citrone has created alliances that have enabled community programs to launch and thrive. She established the Starzl Network for Pediatric Excellence in Transplantation through the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Play It Forward Pittsburgh, and EMBRACE Pittsburgh, which is a powerful movement conceived and driven by Citrone 33 designed to champion mental strength throughout the Pittsburgh region. She graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University. Citrone and her husband Rob believe in actively involving their four children in their philanthropic efforts and are proud partners/owners of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Outreach Director

Gabriela (Gabby) Citrone Gabby Citrone is a young and vibrant philanthropist who is committed to making a positive impact in her community and the world. Currently serving as the Outreach Director at Citrone 33, Gabby is passionate about investing in education, health, and human services to help those in need. Outside of her work, Gabby loves spending quality time with her family, especially at Walt Disney World and the beach. In her free time, Gabby enjoys pure barre and hanging out with her adorable furry friend, Baymax.

Maura Lonergan

Maura Lonergan

Executive Director

Citrone 33 believes in big and bold ideas, which is seen through its approach to grant-making, investing, and partnership.

Rooted in the values of authenticity and innovation, Citrone 33’s mission to champion mental well-being has been seen through Maura’s oversight. With her leadership, Citrone 33 launched Unpack U – a Pittsburgh-centric movement to promote mental health in universities. Maura leads the development and execution of foundation projects and partnerships.

Maura currently sits on the Leadership Council for the Pink Agenda, is an active alumnus of the College of Charleston, and is training for the 2023 New York City Marathon.

Dana Dinardo

Dana Dinardo

Associate

Dana is passionate and focuses on strategic philanthropy and social change initiatives primarily in the mental health and wellness space. As an associate, Dana works to build and maintain the Citrone 33 network of over 300+ partners and supporters. Dana is a visionary who exceeds at bringing ideas to life for all Citrone 33 events and initiatives.

Dana earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology at College of the Holy Cross and currently resides in New York City. In addition to being an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness, Dana is also passionate about physical health and fitness.

Kendall DeAngelo

Kendall DeAngelo

Youth Engagement Specialist

Kendall uses her strengths in organization and teamwork to effectively assist and lead various projects. Through her work with Citrone 33, Kendall has discovered a passion for mental health, her Pittsburgh community, and creating meaningful connections.

Kendall DeAngelo is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration pursuing a Human Resources Management major, a sociology minor, and the Certificate Program in Sports Management (CPSM).

Kaylyn Farneth

Kaylyn Farneth

Associate

Kaylyn Farneth is an English teacher and Actress who is extremely passionate about mental health and providing access to resources in our communities. By providing an educational point of view, Kaylyn helps Citrone 33 to meet the needs of young people. 

Kaylyn is the co-chair for Citrone 33’s The Pittsburgh Gala, which is an annual fundraiser that aims to bring awareness and funding for The Pink Agenda and the fight against breast cancer. Kaylyn will be running her 10th Pittsburgh Marathon as a C33 x TPA runner.

The coping skills and resilience we’re asking people to learn and recognize are so much more embedded and engrained and become more apart of you if they are delivered through something that you care about.
